PURPOSE: A device and method for outputting the sentence of the foreign language on the screen are provided to help a user easily understand the speed, accent, and intonation of the sentence by displaying those on the screen, and to learn the foreign language exactly and effectively. CONSTITUTION: An input unit for a key signal(10) outputs the key signal for learning the foreign language to a controller(50). A video signal processor(20) receives and treats a video signal via a controller, and outputs the video signal into the screen of a displayer. An audio signal processor(30) receives and treats an audio signal via a controller, and outputs the audio signal into a speaker. A storage(40) has the pronunciation data of each word, which is composed of the spelling data, for listening the pronunciation of the spelling data. The controller outputs the video signal into the video signal processor, and controls the display of the sentence. Also, the controller has the pronunciation data of the storage correspond to the spelling signal, outputs the audio signal, corresponding to the spelling signal, into the audio signal processor, and controls the pronunciation of the sentence to output through the speaker.
