PURPOSE:To enable a user to operate an automatic certificate issuing machine without necessitating the advice of a clerk in charge even if he does not know necessary contents to be mentioned, and to enable a self-governing body side to curtail the number of personnels by outputting a certificate by judging an item to be mentioned in the certificate to be issued on the basis of the kind of the certificate the user designates and its using purpose. CONSTITUTION:A certificate designating means to designate the kind of the desired certificate, a purpose designating means to designate the using purpose of the certificate, and a judging means to judge the items to be mentioned in the certificate to be issued on the basis of the kind of the certificate obtained from the certificate designating means and the using purpose obtained from the purpose designating means are provided. Then, an output means outputs the certificate on the basis of the item to be mentioned judged by this judging means. The automatic certificate issuing machine 8 is connected to a host computer 6 usually through a communication line 7, and the host computer 6 can supply the starting time of service or inhabitant information, etc., for issuance at the time of issuing a resident card to the plural automatic certificate issuing machines 8 through the communication line 7. |
