PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of increasing the height of a motor due to the arrangement of a position detection means made up of a Hall IC to detect a relative position of a permanent magnet in relation to a stator in the motor and costliness due to the need for wiring to connect the position detection means and a control means in a vacuum cleaner provided with a motor having a permanent magnet. SOLUTION: This electric washing machine detects a counter electromotive force of armature windings 4a to 4c forming a motor 4 and rotationally drives the motor 4 by providing the machine with an inverter circuit 3 comprised of switching means 3a to 3f, a voltage detection means 5 to detect voltage of the motor 4 connected to the inverter circuit 3 and input terminals U, V and W of the motor 4, a control means 6 to turn on or off the switching means 3a to 3f by output signals of the voltage detection means 5, and a driving circuit 7 to drive the switching means 3a to 3f by on/off signals of the control means 6. |
