PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic waste fermentation device capable of preventing the condensation of vapor generated in the fermentation process of the organic waste to facilitate the fermentation of the organic waste. SOLUTION: A mesh net 3 surrounding the organic waste consists of a polymeric material, such as polyvinylidene chloride, having lower thermal conductivity than a metallic material such as stainless steel, that is, the mesh net 3 consists of the polymeric material having a larger heat retaining property than the metallic material. Thereby, water vapor produced by the fermentation of the organic waste can be prevented from being condensed on the surface of the mesh net 3. The prevention of the condensation optimizes the moisture content of the organic waste in the mesh net 3, and keeps the fermentation condition of the organic waste well, thus promoting the reproduction of microorganisms which take part in the fermentation of the organic waste to accelerate the fermentation.
