PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for grooving a panel edge part capable of automatically and precisely forming respectively different grooves on an end part upper face and an end part lower face of the panel. SOLUTION: For the method for grooving the edge part of a laminated layer panel by a method wherein cutters are arranged by being opposed to each opposed edge of the laminated panel, and with these cutters the edge part of the laminated panel is penetrated, a clearance of respective panels of the laminated panel is opened when the edge part of the laminated panel is cut.
