Aqueous solutions of glycerol containing tungstic acid are purified by adding calcium chloride and filtering off the calcium tungstate formed. The glycerol solution is preferably at a temperature of 105-110 DEG C. when the calcium chloride is added. If desired, the glycerol solution may be evaporated until the tungstic acid is present in a concentration of 0.8% by weight or more before being purified.
|
