PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an earthquake by a mechanical means to close a shut-down valve, stop an operating pump, and enable the same operation as the above operation when the earthquake occurs as required by manual operation. SOLUTION: This emergency shut-down valve device consists of a valve operation body 6 connected a shut-down valve in a water channel to give a rotary force by an energy storage member 7, a steel ball 9 loaded in a steel ball loading part so as to drop, a pan 12 for receiving the dropped steel ball 9, a lifting bar 14 fixed on pan 12 and engaged with a guide rail 15 to guide lifting and lowering operations, an operation lever 16 of the lifting bar 14 whose right and left vertical rod parts 16b are inserted into a casing 1 to pass through the lifting bar 14 slidably, a return lever 21 which is connected to the valve operation body 6, whose grip part 24 side protrudes out of the casing, and which can be engaged with and disengaged from the lifting bar 14 by lifting and lowering operations of the pan 12, and a limit 27 stepping the operation of the conveying pump in the interlocking relationship with rotary operation of the valve operation body 6 in the direction of closing.
