PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic recorder which exactly executes positioning by correcting the positioning error which occurs between an electromagnetic conversion section for writing and an electromagnetic conversion section for reading out when a recording/reproducing type magnetic head has a deflection angle with the radial direction of a magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: The deviation value may be previously determined by the structure of a radial position and the recording/reproducing separation type magnetic head. Then, a positioning circuit 23 is operated by the instruction of a DKC 21 to correct the deviation value according to the radial position, by which the positioning may be exactly executed.
