PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable track servo with high accuracy at a low cost with a magnetic recording and reproducing device for executing servo by an optical pickup. SOLUTION: The device is provided with >=1 sheet of magnetic recording media 1 and one sheet of medium 2 for obtaining servo information and is provided with a mechanism for executing positioning of a magnetic head 3 for recording and reproducing by light.
