PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge melted metal that gradually increases while a melting furnace is being operated and to discharge the total amount of molten metal as needed without tilting a furnace body. SOLUTION: While melted slug 61 is being taken out of a slag discharging port 22 of a furnace body due to overflow, melted metal 62 that gradually increases in the furnace body is guided to a molten metal delivery port 101 at the lower layer outside the furnace body according to the specific gravity of the molten metal of upper and lower layers at the side of the furnace body and the thickness of each layer, is raised to its specific height, and is allowed to drip continuously due to overflow. Also, the molten metal in the furnace body is guided and extracted by releasing a tap hole 102.
