PURPOSE: A duplexing apparatus for an STM-1(Synchronous Transmit Module level 1) board in a switch system is provided to maintain a successive call service by being duplex-switched in real time when the fault of the STM-1 board matched with a time switch board is generated. CONSTITUTION: First and second E1 and mapper boards(100,100a) are connected with a time switch board(300) for processing a voice and data signal inputted for being transmitted from the time switch board(300) to an other station switch system to convert the processed voice and data signal into an SDH(Synchronous Digital Hirachy) signal and demultiplexing the SDH signal received through first and second STM-1 matchers(200,200a) from the other station switch system to transmit the demultiplexed SDH signal to the time switch board(300). The first and second STM-1 matchers(200,200a) match the SDH signal provided from the first and second E1 and mapper boards(100,100a) and converts the matched SDH signal into an optical signal with 155Mbps to transmit the optical signal with 155Mbps to the other station switch system, and process the optical signal with 155Mbps received from the other station switch system to transmit the processed optical signal to the first and second E1 and mapper boards(100,100a).
