VIDEO BROWSING SYSTEM USING SYNTHETIC KEY FRAME

摘要

PURPOSE: A video browsing system using a synthetic key frame is to provide the synthetic key frame, an efficient video summarizing method using the synthetic key frame and a video browsing interface and also provide a data managing method for efficiently managing the synthetic key. CONSTITUTION: A video stream is divided into a plurality of meaning regions. A key frame region/key region in an inner portion or an outer portion of a video stream is selected as an image implicatively representing content of a corresponding region. The selected key frames or the selected key frame and key region is combined as one image to form a synthetic key frame. The synthetic key frame is summarized as the representative of a specific segment of a corresponding video stream. In a method of forming the synthetic key frame, the key frame or the key region, or a combination of the key frame and the key region as one of constructing elements of the synthetic key frame is produced and then stores to describe the synthetic key frame.
