DATA REPRODUCING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data reproducing method and device capable of dealing with the partial response of a long constraint length and the partial response of a short constraint length of plural systems with a small circuit scale. SOLUTION: The device has Viterbi detecting means 56 to 59 and 60 to 63 of the plural systems corresponding to the partial response of the first constraint length and a connecting means 54 constituting the Viterbi detecting means which connect or cut the Viterbi detecting means of the plural systems to each other and deal with the partial response of the second constraint length different from the partial response.
