PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dust cloth having a tearing off much less than that of a conventional dust cloth and excellent dust collecting performances. SOLUTION: This method for producing the dust cloth comprises laminating a thermoplastic resin to a sheetlike material, bringing a heat source into contact with the laminate from the side of the thermoplastic resin, melting the thermoplastic resin between the heat source and the sheetlike material, cooling the thermoplastic resin when the sheetlike material is torn off from the heat source to form piles composed of the thermoplastic resin on the surface of the sheetlike material and heat-treating the sheetlike material under a temperature condition in the range of the melting point of the thermoplastic resin±10 deg.C. Since the dust cloth is provided with the piles composed of the thermoplastic resin on the surface of the sheetlike material and comprises pile fused material of mutually fused piles, the pile part is hardly torn off and the dust of the piles torn off is hardly dropped on a cleaning position. When the piles and the pile fused material is rubbed, since the dust cloth is charged with a static electricity, the dust cloth can adsorb dust, etc., by electrostatic adsorption and has excellent dust collecting performances. |
