PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an operation trouble of a user when monitoring an output at an output terminal part for sub-recording or the like. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a ground wave broadcasting receiving part 112, a BS broadcasting receiving part 16 and a CS broadcasting receiving part 123. Signals (video and audio) obtained by the respective receiving parts can be selectively extracted by a switching circuit 132 and the viewing state of images or audio by means of the extracted signals is provided. The signals obtained by the BS broadcasting receiving part 116 and the CS broadcasting receiving part 123 are selectively extracted by a switching circuit 133 and outputted to an output terminal part 151. The signals outputted to this output terminal part 151 are utilized for sub-recording or the like. When a monitor key is pressed, the same signals as signals outputted to the output terminal part 151 are extracted by the switching circuit 132 just for prescribed time such as 5 sec, for example, and the viewing state of images or audio by means of these signals (output monitor state) is provided. Since the former viewing state is automatically recovered after the lapse of prescribed time, it is not necessary for the user to perform operation for recovering the former state.
