PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a console panel which is easy to use by setting one of the functions of a console panel for image recording and a console panel for image reading on one console panel and inhibiting or invalidating the input of the other console panel when a printer (image recording device) and an image scanner (image reading device) are combined and used as one image forming device (copying machine, facsimile equipment, etc.). SOLUTION: This image forming device U is provided with an effective panel setting means which makes effective only the input to one console panel so constituted as to set the composite function of the console panels P1 and P2 of both the image recording device IOT and image reading device IIT and inhibits or makes ineffective the input to the other console panel P2 while both the devices are connected together by a terminal connection member CB3. |
