The light has a number of light emitting diodes (12) with different signaling states, especially flashing, braking and reversing, that can be set up by varying parameters of the light emitting surface such as size, shape and position within the area defined by the light. The light surface can be set up as functional areas associated with defined signaling states. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of setting various signaling states.
