<p>A novel triphenylphosphine derivative which is synthesized from triphenylphosphine and a hydroxylated lactone; a palladium/nickel complex having the derivative as a ligand; and a process for producing a biaryl derivative which comprises using this complex as a catalyst. By the use of the complex as a catalyst, the target reaction product can be easily separated from the catalyst or the phosphorus compound. Thus, the biaryl derivative can be synthesized in good yield.</p> |
