PURPOSE: Provided is a hinge type external fixator for the therapy of a wrist fraction and radioulnar fractions, which is excellent in the therapy of compound fractions and the remedy of a bone and a bone extension. CONSTITUTION: The hinge type external fixator contains: a double cam(11) fixing a couple of ball hinges(10); a ball pusher applying the pressure to the ball hinges(10); the semispherical ball hinges(10); a hinge fixing device(12); a horizontal fixing rod(13) applying distraction and compression simultaneously; a couple of pin fixing rods(15) fixing a plurality of pin-screws; a stretch controlling screw(17); a cover(18) of the stretch controlling screw(17) for shortening the operation time.
