ROLLING MILL AND ROLLING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling mill and rolling method capable of taking a large control range of sheet crown even in a small plate width and suppressing the thrust in the axial direction of the roll. SOLUTION: This rolling mill is provided with an upper work roll 1U and lower work roll 1D which are arranged so as be in vertical point symmetriry in roll profiles and, by shifting these upper work roll 1U and lower work roll 1D relatively in the opposite direction, the sheet crown of the rolled stock is controlled. The roll profiles of the upper work roll 1U and the lower work roll 1D are expressed as the sum of a sinusoidal function and a linear equation regarding a position x in the axial direction of the roll on the basis of the center in the width direction of the rolling mill.
