PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve cartridge suitable for a pneumatic auxiliary control unit of a pneumatic brake modulator by omitting the use of an elastic tolerance compensation element and simplifying assembly. SOLUTION: The reserve control unit comprising solenoid valves operates in a trailer provided with an electronic braking system. The three solenoid valves of the reserve control unit are structured as cartridge-type solenoid valves, so that assembly is facilitated and use of an elastic tolerance compensation element is omitted. A valve cartridge is formed as a separate component unit, and a housing and a magnetic coil are also provided as separate component units. In consideration of variety of valve types, the same inside composition enabled by use of the same magnet armature and the same magnetic coil makes it possible for the cartridge-type solenoid valve to be so formed that it has the same outside dimensions.
