PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for breaking down and shredding plastic scraps with easiness and low cost to produce a plastic powder. SOLUTION: The freeze crusher is composed of a cooling part and a mechanical shredding part. The cooling part is a part that this refrigerant is allowed to flow through a space outside of a cylinder having a double wall and circulated using liquid nitrogen, an alcohol having a solid carbon dioxide incorporated therein (an alcohol such as methanol, ethanol and the like) or an alcohol for cooling an electric and electronic equipment as a cooling medium and a cooling solvent. The plastic scraps that become brittle by cooling is introduced into a mechanical crushing part and then broken down and crushed. Thus, a plastic powder having a diameter of 0.5 mm or less is obtained. |
