PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably lower the cost of a throw-away type pinion cutter capable of preventing disadvantage due to the generation of chips and regrinding man-hour. SOLUTION: A builtup pinion cutter 1 is formed of a cutter base 2, a pinion cutter blade 3 and a clamp collar 4 in which the pinion cutter blade 3 is allowed to be expendable. This pinion cutter blade 3 is formed with a tooth shape 3g having a constant thickness in the periphery of a disk having a fitting surface a and a fastening surface b in parallel with each other, with a cutting blade c having the rake angle of 0 degree by performing the TiN coating or the AlTiN coating on the surface.
