PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an absorptive article of a thin type having an excellent leakage preventive effect. SOLUTION: This absorptive article has a liquid permeable top sheet and a liquid impermeable back sheet and an absorber arranged between both sheets. The absorber consists of at least a highly water absorptive polymer and sheet- like members for fixing and holding the highly water absorptive polymers. The highly water absorptive polymers are compounded at 50 to 95 wt.% in the absorber and consists of the first highly water absorptive polymer and the second highly water absorptive polymer. The compounding ratio of both is the first: the second =25:75 to 75:24. The first highly water absorptive polymer has specific liquid permeability, absorption magnification and maximum absorption rate and the second highly water absorptive polymer has the absorption magnification ratio and/or maximum absorption rate higher than that of the first highly water absorptive polymer.
