PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet, which flees from a wavy phenomenon (cockling) developing on the surface of a printing part at printing and from a print-through of ink. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording sheet, which is produced by applying at least one or more ink absorbing layers on a base paper, by providing a resin-containing back coating layer, which has the tensile elongation at break according to JIS K 7127 of below 50% and, at the same time, the tensile strength at break of 10 MPa or more, on the rear side of the base paper through the ink absorbing layers, the wavy phenomenon (cockling) developing on the surface of the printing part at printing can be fled from. Further, by including pigments having the particle diameter of 1 to 15 μm in the back coating layer, the ink jet recording sheet having no print-through of ink can be obtained. |
