PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for distributing a flow, capable of rapidly and optimally distributing a solid in a container, especially, on the filtering surface of a container filter. SOLUTION: In the case of the flow distribution method, a supply flow at a central part in an almost axial direction is directionally changed outwardly in a form of at least one flat flow 30. In the case of the flow distribution apparatus, at least two flat guide elements 12, 13, 14, 26 are provided so as to be arranged up and down and at least one elongated almost radial passages 15, 16, 17 for almost radially guiding the axial supply flow in a supply part 18 in a laminar flow shape are formed between the guide elements.
