PURPOSE:To ensure smooth operation of one-sided opening and shutting of a cover for a container such as a cooler box or the like, for which an opeing/ shutting device that enables the cover to be attached to and detached from the container main body and is available for one-sided opening and shutting is provided. CONSTITUTION:A holding groove 4, extending along the edge on a mouth, and a receiving part 6, with a side opposite to the direction of opening of the holding groove 4 serving as an engaging face, are fixed either to the main body 1 or the cover body 2 of a container or the like. Operating tabs 8, each equipped with engaging pivots 7 for engagement with the holding groove 4, are rotatively hinged to either one of the main body or the cover body. Furthermore, holding hooks 9 that are engaged with the engaging face 5 of the receiving part 6 when the engaging pivots 7 are fitted into the holding groove 4 are formed to the operating tabs 8, and thereby the engaging pivots 7 can be held certainly to the holding groove 4, enabling the cover body 2 to be opened smoothly without staggering in the case of one-sided opening. |
