PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which makes a metering operation efficient and lowers the cost of metering data indicated on a meter in a portable terminal by radio and FAXing the data to respective homes instead of notice statements when meters for gas, water, electricity, etc., are inspected. SOLUTION: Radio transmitter receivers 7, 13, and 18 are built in devices such as the meter 10, portable terminal, and FAX 15; and the meter and portable terminal device, and the portable terminal device and FAX communicate with each other by radio. Each meter 10 has an ID number, which is specified from the portable terminal device to specify the target meter, so that the count value stored in the meter can be read. |
