PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric car control device that is advantageous in manufacturing maintenance, and further in space. SOLUTION: Inverter-control devices 11A-11C all have the same configuration, and inverter controls 13A-13C are provided with variable voltage/variable frequency control means and a constant-voltage/constant-frequency control means inside. During normal operation, inverters 8A and 8B supply AC power to induction motors IM1, IM2, IM3, and IM4 by VVVF control, and an inverter 8C supplies AC power to a load 10 by CVCF control. When the inverter 8C fails, an inverter control 13B switches from the VVVF up to that point control to CVCF control, and the inverter 8B supplies power to the load 10. |
