PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive disk cartridge by reducing the number of parts of a shutter mechanism and facilitating the assembly work of the disk cartridge. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge having a shutter constituted slidably in both right and left directions is formed with a first guide groove between the top surface of the front end wall of one half shell and the under surface of the front end wall of another half shell on one surface of a cartridge case and is formed with a notched part arriving at the top surface of the front end wall of the one half shell by notching the front end wall of another half shell. A first engaging piece and second engaging piece formed at the first slider are inserted from the notched part into the first guide groove, by which the shutter is mounted at the case body.
