PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently adsorb or desorb fuel vapor and to prevent the desorbed hydrocarbon from being sucked into an engine abruptly. SOLUTION: An atmosphere communication port 3a communicated with the atmosphere is formed on one end side of a case 2, and a fuel vapor inflow port 4a communicated with a fuel tank and an outflow port 4b communicated with an engine intake path are formed on the other end side. An adsorption chamber R1 is provided on one end side of the case 2 to form a space 9 with one end, and a heat storage adsorption chamber R2 is provided on the other end side to form a space 6 with the other end. A heat storage adsorbent including an adsorbent A1 and a heat storage material A2 having the heat conductivity and the specific heat larger than those of the adsorbent A1 is stored in the adsorption chamber R2, and the adsorbent A1 is stored in the adsorption chamber R1.
