PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method to efficiently direct a content request to a mirror site by using a protocol of an http meta tag to improve content distribution service. SOLUTION: A content provider source site constituted so as to perform communication by at least one communication network and a memory accessible by the content provider source site to discriminate what content is stored in the mirror site are included in this content distribution system. The content provider source site is accessible to a memory in response to a request by an end user to a specified content and can transmit a page to decide whether or not the content is stored in the mirror site, to change the direction of the end user and to load the content from the mirror site to the end user.
