PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image synthesis processing method in which a plurality of sampling methods and image synthesis processing can be selected in accordance with a target with a simple positioning mechanism and without using a dedicated image pickup device and by which resolution is improved or moire is suppressed. SOLUTION: This image synthesis processing method is provided with a stage moving in the x and y directions, a driving system positioning the stage, an image processing system and an image pickup system and performs synthetic processing of a plurality of images picked up by moving the stage. The synthesis processing of a plurality of pieces of data 52 picked up by shifting the stage by a 1/2 sampling interval each in the x and y directions and unmoved image data 50 is performed to obtain the image data 54 of five coordinate sampling. |
