摘要 <p>An automated apparatus has a rotor supporting reactor(s) including a planar stirrer supported on the underside of a biochip, where the stirrer and biochip form a solid angle for retaining a small volume of liquid that spreads across the surface of the biochip without containing any air bubbles and without penetrating the body of the reactor and enabling a biochip holder to slide. Each reactor may be arranged so it is inclined vertically relative to a radius of the rotor. Each reactor may have a stopper closing an orifice at the lower part of one of its two major faces. The stopper opens the orifice under the effect of centripetal force. The biochip holder that makes sliding engagement with the biochip and so obscures one of its major faces. The stirrer is entrained by the stopping and starting of the rotor to mix the liquid.</p>
