PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the position of a magnetic head to a recording medium with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A front end of an adjusting screw 6 is used as a ball 10 of a ball pairing. In this case, the sphericity and surface roughness of this ball 10 are made excellent. Moreover, in a head base 3, the surface roughness of a part in contact with the ball 10 is reduced. Thereby, the linearity of the depth advancing the adjusting screw 6, and a moving distance of the magnetic head 2 is secured.
