PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a manufacturing method of an organic EL element and an organic EL element which has good accuracy, and is to be uniformly applied, and is low cost and efficient, and has long life. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of an organic EL element which has a pair of electrodes, an organic layer which plays a part in at least a luminescence function among the pair of these electrodes, the manufacturing method of the organic EL element is characterized that in the forming of at least one layer of the organic layers, the organic EL element is composed with applying an organic material which is dissolved in a solvent by dropping it from an application nozzle, and the organic EL element obtained by the method.
