PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data imprinting device for a camera having inexpensive and simple structure by reducing the number of parts and assembly man-hours, without impairing imprinting function, and to provide a camera equipped with the imprinting device and a date setting device for the imprinting device. SOLUTION: This data-imprinting device 1 for the camera, which is housed in the back cover of the camera and where a monitor display panel is omitted, is equipped with a front protection plate 2a disposed on a film side, a back protective plate 2b disposed on the back cover side, and a circuit board 3 housed between the plates 2a and 2b, and is also equipped with an imprinting display panel 5 for imprinting data on film, a lamp 6 which is an imprinting light source, a quartz oscillator 7 for measuring the time and electronic components for control 8 on the surface of the circuit board 3 on the film side.
