A power tool (10) includes a motor (14) with a flux ring (34). The flux ring (34) includes a ring member with a first (102) and second (104) end. The ends (102, 104) are positioned with respect to one another such that the ends move towards and away from one another during compressing and expanding of the ring (34). At least one anchor (96) is unitarily formed with the ring. A pair of magnets (36, 38) are coupled with unitarily formed anchors (96) to couple the pair of magnets with the ring. The magnets (36, 38) are coupled with the ring (34) such that the ring may be compressed and expanded with the magnets secured in the ring.
