PURPOSE: A vehicle crash sensor is provided to protect passengers even in case of oblique crash and prevent injury to passengers against late deployment of air bags. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle crash sensor comprises an acceleration sensor(21) for converting acceleration/deceleration of crash into a voltage, and outputting the result; a micro computer(22) grounded in common with the acceleration sensor, and which converts an output voltage of the acceleration sensor into a digital data, performs a specific algorithm for determining a crash severity, and outputs a crash sensing signal through an output port; and a communication circuit(23) for detecting constant amount of current determined by an emitter output resistance(R2) and a base resistance(R1) of a transistor(Q1) which is turned on when the crash sensing signal output from the micro computer is applied to a base, and applying the detected current to a current detection circuit(11) disposed in an electronic single point sensor(10). |
