The device for the separating of metal chips from fluids comprises a transporting container divided into two chambers(8,9), one above the other, by an intermediate base(10) with several holes(17). The dimensioning of the holes in the intermediate base is smaller than that of the metal chips. The transporting container has closable openings for filling with metal chips, for removal of chips, for removal of fluid with oil content, and for letting in warm gases.
