In a motor vehicle window in which the glass 1 is bonded to the window frame 7 by e.g. polysulphide rubber 13 it is held from moving in its own plane or perpendicular thereto by means of a decorative moulding 5 which has a channel shaped section 17 terminating in a lip 25 which engages the surface or corner of the glass or of a surrounding channel 15 of anti squeak material, adjacent the frame 7 to prevent movement of the moulding away from the frame, the moulding also having a flange 23 engaging shoulder 11 on the frame and an abutment surface 21 engaging a second shoulder 9 on the frame. The lip parts 17, 25, 21, 23 may have interruptions in which spaces rigid with the window frame fit.</p> |
