A method of screening an iNOS activity inhibitor with the use of the binding activity of candidate compounds to an iNOS monomer (or its variant) as an indication. Dimerization of iNOS is the final step of the acquisition of the iNOS enzymatic activity. By using the screening method as described above, an iNOS inhibitor compound having excellent specificity and immediate action can be quickly screened by a convenient procedure.
