PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium to be recorded, which has a high ink absorption speed, no tackiness, a high transparency, the excellent fixture of pigment ink, excellent color reproducibility of dye ink, enough image density and gradation, excellent water resistance and ink fixture, and from which an image with no crack is obtained. SOLUTION: In the medium to be recorded, which is produced by forming at least one porous organic resin layer on a base material, the porous organic resin layer consists of fine organic particles having both a hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group, a water-absorbent binder and voids. The pore distribution curve of the porous organic layer has a maximum peak in the pore radius range of 3 to 300 nm. At the same time, the pore volume is 0.2 cm3/g or more. The pH in the porous organic resin layer measured according to JIS P 8133 is 5.2 or more in the medium to be recorded, in its manufacturing method and an image forming method, with which a favorable recording is executed on the medium to be recorded. |
