PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing at a low cost and in high productivity an ionic metal complex which is used as a raw material for electrochemical devices such as lithium batteries, lithium ion batteries, and electric double layer capacitors, polymerization catalysts for polyolefins, and the like, coloring agents and image-recording materials, and as a catalyst for organic synthesis, and to provide a method for purifying the ionic metal complex. SOLUTION: This method for synthesizing the ionic metal complex, characterized by reacting a compound represented by the general formula (1) [An+ is a metal ion, proton, or an onium ion; (n) is 1 to 3] with oxalic acid and boric acid in a nonaqueous solvent. |
