PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a 5-perfluoroalkyluracil derivative in a high yield without decomposing the objective product in the method of producing the 5-perfluoroalkyluracil derivative. SOLUTION: In this method of reacting a 5-perfluoroalkyl-5,6-dihydrouracil derivative with an alkyl sulfoxide in the presence of a halogen and an acid catalyst, an alkyl sulfoxide decomposition product prepared as a by-product is removed out of the system.
