PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new skin care body cleansing composition having both cleansing actions and care actions. SOLUTION: This aqueous or aqueous-alcoholic body cleansing composition is characterized by including a sorbitol ester obtained by transesterifying a sorbitol oxyalkylated if necessary with a fatty acid methyl ester or a fatty acid triglyceride and oxyalkylating the reactional products obtained by transesterifying the sorbitol with the fatty acid methyl ester, if necessary.
