PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink jet recording sheet, the water-based ink jet ink of which is excellent in water resistance, color developability and absorbency and of which a clear and highly dense image can be formed, and powder paint particles, of which an ink accepting layer in the water-based ink jet recording sheet is formed. SOLUTION: In the powder paint particles for forming the ink accepting layer of the water-based ink jet recording sheet, the particles consist of resin composition particles, each of which includes a resin and a coloring agent and which have an average particle diameter of 5 to 30 μm, and 1 to 10 wt.% of fine hydrophilic inorganic particles, which cover the surface of each resin composition particle, has an average particle diameter of 1 nm to 1 μm and are covered with a substance having an anion-trapping group. Equipping with the ink accepting layer made of the powder paint particles forms the water-based ink jet recording sheet. Concretely, the water-based ink jet recording sheet is formed by providing a resin layer, which is formed by mutually fusing together the powder paint particles under the state that voids are locally provided among the powder paint particles, as the ink accepting layer on a base material. |
