PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for filling a pressure medium into a pressure medium chamber of a level control apparatus for a vehicle capable of filling the pressure medium from a pressure medium accumulator into the pressure medium chamber as long as possible without operating a compressor. SOLUTION: This invention provides a method for filling the pressure medium into the pressure medium chamber of the leveling apparatus for the vehicle including the pressure medium accumulator, the pressure medium chamber and the compressor. While a pressure difference between the pressure medium accumulator and the pressure medium exceeds a threshold value, the pressure medium is filled from the pressure medium accumulator into the pressure medium chamber. When the pressure difference between the pressure medium accumulator and the pressure medium chamber reaches the threshold value and the pressure medium chamber is needed to be filled more, the pressure medium is filled into the pressure medium chamber by the compressor.
