PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet or the like which has superior properties including no discoloration or aging defects during use, sustainable prevention of attachment of odor and deodorizing effect, and antibacterial, mildewproof and contaminationproof characteristics. SOLUTION: The carpet or the like contains, on the surface of the fiber, a photocatalyst and at least one kind of binder selected among alkyl silicate resins, silicone resins, and fluororesins.
