Plastic expansion dowel

Plastic expansion dowels which expand when a fastening screw is screwed into them and are consequently pressed against the bore wall of a bore, provided in a solid material, are known. In order to obtain high retaining values with an expansion dowel, even in soft solid materials such as gas concrete, the grooves running transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis exhibit a V-shaped profile with a groove base running concentrically around the centre axis. The two adjacent side flanks of two grooves each form a tip, the flank angle being between 60 and 120 degrees.
